Why patients may consider an international medical review
Patients may consider a review when pathology is complex, treatment choices are unclear or specialist expertise is sought. Documents are organized before a hospital or physician is proposed.
Prepare and submit medical records
Provide pathology, imaging, laboratory findings, treatment history, current medicines and the questions you want the specialist to address.
Case review and specialist matching
A case manager checks completeness and coordinates review with expertise relevant to the diagnosis and clinical question. Acceptance and treatment suitability are never guaranteed.
Consultation and next-step planning
Western Indonesia and China differ by one hour; the patient’s city is recorded for scheduling. A written summary and follow-up questions can be coordinated when appropriate.
Costs and payment
An itemised estimate is discussed before commitment. Currency conversion, bank charges and insurance exclusions should be reviewed by the patient.
Travel only after medical review
If treatment in China is considered appropriate and accepted, the team can coordinate documentation, appointment timing, admission, interpretation and practical support.
Planning follow-up after returning home
Medical summaries, imaging, pathology details, medicines and follow-up instructions are prepared for the treating team in Indonesia, with translation coordinated when needed.
Information to prepare
International review does not replace local medical care. Treatment decisions must be made by qualified physicians after individual assessment. For an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
